She is a Judge of the High Court of Delhi. Before being elevated to the Bench, she
was a leading Intellectual Property lawyer in India. She had the distinction of
handling landmark matters in all areas of IPR laws including patents, trademarks,
designs, copyright, plant varieties, internet laws, etc.
As Managing Partner of Singh & Singh, she advised clients and handled cases
relating to commercial disputes, arbitration, telecom, broadcasting laws, media laws, writs,
regulatory issues, education etc. She has regularly appeared before the Supreme
Court of India, High Court of Delhi, TDSAT, IPAB, Trademark and Patent Offices.
She was appointed as Amicus Curiae by the High Court of Delhi to streamline the
working of the Copyright Office. She was also appointed on a High Level Committee
for streamlining of Patent examinations.
She was invited as an expert to present views to the Parliamentary Committees considering
amendments to the Patents Act in 2002, Copyright Amendment Act, 2012, Geographical
Indications Act etc. She was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court
in December 2013.
The Prathiba M. Singh Scholarship for LL.M. students was instituted at the University
of Cambridge in 2013. Scholarships are granted to Indian students who have secured
admission at Cambridge, for pursuing their LLM course.
PROF. (Dr.) ASHISH BHARADWAJ
He is the Founding Dean of BITS Law School, Mumbai. Professor Ashish Bharadwaj has
previously served as the Dean of the Jindal School of Banking & Finance in O.P.
Jindal Global University, Director of JGU’s Office of Academic Innovation and Online
Learning, and Founding Director of the Jindal Initiative on Research on Intellectual
Property and Competition (JIRICO).
He has also served as Associate Professor at Jindal Global Law School (India), Visiting
Associate Professor at the Institute for Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University,
Tokyo, Affiliated Faculty at the Maurer School of Law, Indiana University Bloomington
(USA), and a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation & Competition,
Munich (Germany). He is a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship from the European
Commission, the Max Planck Society Doctoral Fellowship from the Federal Government
of Germany, and the Thomas Edison Innovation Fellowship from Antonin Scalia School
of Law, George Mason University.
He has more than 70 publications, including four books, articles in peer-reviewed
journals, and invited opinion pieces in the media.
PROF (DR.) GS BAJPAI
He serves as the Vice Chancellor of National Law University Delhi. He is equipped with more than thirty years of professional experience as an author, researcher, teacher and administrator. In addition to a Master’s specialisation in Criminology & Criminal Justice, he holds a doctorate in victimology and a post-doctorate in criminal justice from Leicester University, U.K., as a Commonwealth Fellow at the Department of Criminology, Leicester University, U.K.
Prof. Bajpai has authored twenty-two books/monographs, more than sixty papers, over a hundred op-eds in leading dailies like Indian Express, the Hindu, and the Tribune and thirteen project reports.
Notably, Prof. Bajpai is credited with having evolved the concept of 'wrongful prosecution' in the Indian context. Based on his report on the Babloo Chauhan case, the Law Commission, in its 277th Report, proposed amendments to laws to help the victims of wrongful prosecution. His report in the case of Karan v. State also introduced the concept of a "Victim Impact Report" and the procedure for calculating and granting compensation under section 357 of the Cr.P.C.
MR. JYOTI SAGAR
He has been practicing law since 1976. He founded J. Sagar Associates
(JSA) – in New Delhi in 1991 and K&S Partners, an Intellectual Property boutique
in 1994. He pioneered new paradigms in Indian law firm organization and management
structures. Jyoti is Associate President, Society of Indian Law Firms; and Past
President of Asian Patent Attorneys Association (Indian Group) and he currently
serves as one of the International Vice Presidents of Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
He is also Chairman– Society for Urban Regeneration of Gurgaon, Trustee– Genesis
Foundation and supports Deepalaya. He also serves on the Board of Governors, The
Scindia School, Gwalior.
Along with being the member of Delhi High Court Bar Association and Supreme Court
of India Bar Association, he is also the member of American Bar Association, Asian
Patent Attorneys Association, International Trademark Association, Inter-Pacific
Bar Association and Society of Indian Law Firms

Dr. KALPESHKUMAR L. GUPTA
He is a law teacher and researcher. He is a Ph.D. in Law from Gujarat National Law
University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat and a former Academic Associate at Indian
Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA).
His areas of interest are Corporate Laws, Right to Information Act, Court Management,
Entrepreneurship, General Management, Public Policy and other allied subjects. He
has been delivering guest lecturers at Law, Management and Commerce colleges and
various institutions in Gujarat and other states. He has participated in 60 plus
conferences, seminars, workshops and presented 30 plus papers in various National,
International Conferences and Seminars. He has been actively involved in campaign
of awareness on Right to Information Act and has conducted many workshops/seminars
at state and national levels.
He worked as an Academic Associate in Business Policy Area at IIM, Ahmedabad from
2010 to 2015 where he was associated with courses on Law and Management. He worked
as an Assistant Professor - Research and Faculty Coordinator of Gujarat National
Law University Legal Incubation Council. Presently he is working as Associate Professor
of Law at Parul University, Vadodara.
Dr. LALIT BHASIN
Dr. Lalit Bhasin started his law practice in 1962 and has developed Bhasin & Co.
as one of the largest law Firms in North India. His areas of specialisation include
Employment & Labour Laws, Corporate Law, Laws relating to Information Technology,
Contract and Conveyancing, Constitutional Law, Banking and Finance, Consumer Protection

Dispute Resolution Practice.
He was awarded Honorary Membership of the IBA in Melbourne in 1994 for outstanding
service to the legal profession. He was awarded the Plaque of Honour by the Prime
Minister of India in 2002 for outstanding contribution to the Rule of Law. In 2007,
the President of India presented the National Law Day Award to Lalit Bhasin for
"Outstanding Contribution to the Development of the Legal Profession in India and
for his deep involvement and engagement in the maintenance of the highest standards
at the Bar".
Recently he has been conferred the Degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D) Honoris Causa
by University of Rajasthan.
Ms. NUPUR SINHA
Nupur Sinha, the Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) has experimented with pedagogy for teaching law to different constituencies including students, lawyers, paralegals, police, teachers . She comes with field experience of using the justice system to fight for the rights of marginalised people, through a network of grassroots lawyers and paralegals.
Nupur and her team have nurtured a network to provide legal support in several communities, through riots, natural disasters, and even the pandemic, and also to make systemic interventions through the justice system in relation many problems such as securing the rights and entitlements of adivasis and stopping violence against women.
Ms. PARI JHAVERI
She is the Managing Partner and Founder of Purpose Leaders, a bespoke board and people consulting firm.
Pari comes with 20-plus years of experience across Executive Search & Coaching, Education, Human Resource Management, Media and Advertising. She started her career with Ogilvy Advertising, setting up the country’s first brand social responsibility business practice. Subsequently, she founded the country’s first cause-connected search firm Third Sector Partners hiring boards and CEOs for non-profits. Pari was appointed as COO of Sesame Workshop to lead the India entity.
Later she joined Paris headquartered consulting firm Transearch International, as a Senior Partner where she established a successful consulting practice spanning Financial services, Emerging Technology, Education, Non-Profit and Sustainable Development.
Pari is empanelled as a global coach with Ceresa in Austin, she is a senior advisor to Mayo College, the Board chair for Hunger Project and Board advisor to Miracle Foundation. She co-founded Katalyst an initiative that prepares young women from disadvantaged backgrounds for leadership roles.
Pari is a performing arts enthusiast trained in theatre and classical music. She holds an M.A. in International Relations and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
PROF. (Dr.) PURVI POKHARIYAL
She is the Campus Director at the National Forensic Science University (NFSU), Gandhinagar
Campus. She is also the Director of the Academics, Research and Consultancy at NFSU,
Gandhinagar, founding Dean of the School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies
and the Dean of the School of Forensic Psychology at the National Forensic Sciences
University, Gandhinagar.
Prof. Pokhariyal was the first ever female chairperson of the Indian Society of
Criminology. She was conferred with Senior Social Scientist Award by the Indian
Society of Criminology for her significant contribution to the field of Criminology.
She was also selected for best Law Professor Award by the Business School Affairs
& Dewang Mehta National Education Awards. Prof. Pokhariyal is a visiting faculty
at HOF University, Germany and a resource person at various training programs, workshops
and National and International conferences.
Prof. Pokhariyal has conducted various FDPs for Law teachers on Innovation Pedagogy
for Law Teaching, Outcome Based Education for Law Schools, Clinical Legal Education,
Justice Education, etc.
DR. QUEENY PRADHAN
Dr. Queeny Pradhan is the Dean of USLLS and and In charge, University School of Liberal Arts at GGSIPU, New Delhi. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience with an inter-disciplinary approach.
She is the author of two well-known books, Empire in the Hills: Simla, Darjeeling, Ootacamund and Mount Abu (1820-1920) and Ranis and the Raj. She has also published/ presented more than 20 research papers.
She was awarded Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Scholarship for Doctoral Studies in India given by Nehru Memorial Fund, 1997-1999. She was also selected as the Fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, from 2010- 2012.
Further, she was selected for an ICCR India Chair of Indian Studies abroad at the University of Vienna, Austria to teach for one semester from March, 2018 till June, 2018.
Dr. RUCHI TEWARI
She is an Associate Professor at Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. She
is a committed professional oriented towards learning and academic enhancement in
the areas of corporate social responsibility and applied communication.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Tewari’s professional focus
is in the applied areas of Communication where she specializes in Strategic CSR
– its design; implementation and reporting. She has also researched and published
in the domain of ‘technology aided human communication’. Dr. Tewari has to her credit
over 40 publications including research articles, chapters in edited books and newspaper
articles. She has presented papers in reputed international conferences like the

and has been a chosen fellow by ICSSR and ERC – UK to attend their round table discussion

PROF. (Dr.) S. SHANTHAKUMAR
He is the Director, Gujarat National Law University with about 30 years of teaching
experience at prestigious universities including Hidayatullah National Law University.
Prof. Shanthakumar is holding in charge as the Director of Gujarat Maritime University
and also appointed as the President of Gujarat International Maritime Arbitration
Centre.
He is an alumnus of Madras University, Chennai, where he earned his graduation,
post-graduation and doctorate degree in law. Before joining the legal academia,
he had practiced at the Madras High Court for seven years.
His areas of specialization are Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, International
Law and Constitutional Law. He has authored 3 books on Environmental Law and 2 books
on Human Rights Law published by LexisNexis, National Law School of India University
(CEERA), Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, etc. He has published a number
of research articles on contemporary legal issues in various national and international
journals and edited volumes. He has presented papers and delivered key note addresses
in many national and international conferences in India and abroad.
